There is the problem

Well... the problem is twofold.

First, Labour is an extreme left Marxist party now, with student union politics and the associated real world incompetency that goes with it at the head of it.

Second, the Conservatives have pandered to the right of their party and completely disowned the urban areas, instead focussing on casual racism and elite profiteering, torn asunder by Brexit.

You therefore have an absolutely massive middle ground that are completely unrepresented in parliament.

The question is whether an entity can exploit that middle ground. My view is nothing can, because politicians aren't principled enough. They've allowed both major parties to be hijacked by extreme politics.

I firmly, completely believe the UK would vote overwhelmingly for a centre left or centre right party, but there isn't one and there won't be one for a long, long time now.

Can you show the class some Marxist policies that are in the manifesto? Labour are constantly attacked from the left for their pandering to the right on immigration, policing, the economy etc

First of all, Labour is not "extreme left". Can you please present to me any policies which detail "extreme left" ideology.

Secondly, the leader of the party is horrendously middle class - so I fail to understand where the Marxist claim comes from.

Thirdly, poll after poll after poll shows how current Labour Party policies are universally popular among the electorate.

if there is an election, they could get smashed in northern heartlands, if tories go full on brexit i can see them winning alot of votes..

....there has to be a strong chance some of the 7 will lose their seats (I can’t see Berger being MP for Wavertree after the next election), but there also has to be a chance that more Labour MPs will join them.

They don't have the nerve to call by-elections, the only reason this has happened is because they want to inflict as much damage to the prospects of the Labour Party - and all those within it - as possible.

I look forward to campaigning in their seats when the next opportunity presents itself.

....I think lots of it is to do with decency as opposed to policy. Elected officials being bullied and threatened by party members. Voters don’t like it, people with values don’t like it.

Their current policies are due to Corbyn being encumbered by the PLP and its' rules. His overall aim and that of his supporters is obvious - a purge of centrist, moderating views with a very obvious political end goal.

He's getting his way. Let's see how it ends up for him, as I'm totally convinced that barring a miracle they'd be totally unelectable. But Corbyn on the campaign trail is a master, so who knows.

That said I really don't understand how people can't see Corbyn as extreme left in the context of modern politics. He very obviously is.
