There will be no money. A million OAPs can apply for pension credit etc which would pay about £4K each and then still get the WFA. So 7-8 million lose £300- £400 but that will be dwarfed by the extra 1 million getting £4,000 plus £300. Do the maths, this will save no money, it will cost more money and Labour are digging their own black holes……

So you are basically complaining that those who MOST NEED money will get it? That Labour will spend extra money on the most vulnerable?

Surely this is a good thing? Would you be complaining if Labour paid more to the most vulnerable AND kept paying the £300 to the wealthiest? Thatcwould cost even more.

Think you've tripped yourself up here Pete.

Just trying to point out the rather dubious finance. Unfortunately the 1 million folk, who Labour forgot about or didn’t care about will in all probability will still mostly not apply because of the over 240 question form. I’d love to see them all get the additional £4K, I personally don’t give a damn about a £200-300 fuel allowance. All of my comments on this subject have been aimed at the method of introduction. I wrote to my MP on this very subject, also mentioning her small majority and the fact that come the vote there will be no hiding place….

Excellent policy now coming to fruition... Now role out nationally.

Good policy this, needs to happen.
I live in one of these communities in Wales that is as I would describe as destroyed by second homes.
Can barely see a light on during the winter, but cant move in the summer.
Needs to happen across the UK in places like Cornwall to

Nice to see you so politically active all of a sudden. You didn’t give 2 sh**s when your precious Tories were destroying the country 👍🏼

Completely agree with this. Communities lose out and locals have to move due to both availability and cost. It’s the same with Landlords snapping up properties while those trying to get on the housing ladder are forced to pay exorbitant rents…..
