Joey, I have a gunnerer plant in my front garden which I grew from a small cutting years ago, nobody thought it would grow as they thrive in really marshy and wet conditions… it’s still going from strength to strength 20 years later and has to be cut back quite often as it overtakes the garden if I’m not careful. Maybe I just got lucked hey

I have seen them root & seed in a pond, so you were not lucky they grow in wild ponds .....

I don’t have a bloody pond Joey… that was the point … my garden is dry as a bone usually … but like I said, I dug a hole, lobbed it in, covered it and then watered it … and then nature took its course

I have seen the common willow growing on river banks where a dog has dropped the stick which had been snapped off by its owner to use it to though the stick for the dog ...
