They were apparently willing to lay down their lives so that the young could go about their business as usual during Covid, and now I'm supposed to believe Pete that they're just a bunch of whinging biddies who don't have an extra scarf lying around the place? I'm not having that, the older folk are clearly made of sterner stuff and wouldn't make a fuss over something as trivial as this.
We hear every time there is hot weather that the hardy older generation experienced hotter weather and didn't bat an eyelid - "they've seen it all before", they'll be fine in the winter.

I'm sure the news will more likely be dominated by stories about how the young didn't live through the big freeze of 1963 so they don't know the meaning of cold.

The majority of pensioners who are losing the £300 a year, have been the luckiest generation so far. They didn’t have to fight in any wars, could buy houses, cars and groceries, for a fraction of the price of what we have to pay now.

Unfortunately for them, they voted for a party that have accelerated all of the above to a level where the state pension is being swallowed quicker than it was 14 years ago.

Rather than telling all this generation that we need to work harder, spend better and stop moaning; they should have done the same at our age and they’d be in a much better place financially than we can ever get to.

I’m one of the pensioners mentioned above and there’s a few things I’ll respond to, 1) I had no say on when I was born and although I didn’t fight in any wars I’m sure the lads that served in NI and the Falklands war might have something to say on that
Point
2) I worked 30 yrs paying in up to 12 % of my salary in pension contributions so what works pension I have I’ve paid for.
3) my state pension is what I’m entitled to like millions in this country and I have no shame taking it. As for the WFA I’ve posted before I have no quarms with it being taken away and used for people worse off than me, I have a free bus pass and again I’d have no qualms about paying an annual fee for it if the money raised went to the less needy.
Are we the lucky generation probably but unfortunately there’s not a lot we can do about that, I’ve voted Labour all my life my dad walked the streets of Huyton campaigning for Wilson in the 60s but unfortunately this country is a Tory country always has been probably always will be.

Do you think two tier policing is a thing, Pete?

Parroting Elon Musk isn't a good look. Someone your age really ought to know better.
It’s mad but even on this forum you can see a phrase emanating from the extreme right pushed on by Robinson and musk through to farage picks up the willing souls it needs .

Get Brexit done
Stop the boats
Two tier policing

It’s sad but as clear as day

Nope. You can only apply when you're here, but you can't get here without a visa.

A bit disingenuous this. You cannot apply for asylum unless you are in the U.K., you can however apply for a visa while in another country…
