I think Johnson's comedy high watermark was standing there with a straight face and suggesting that the rapid price rises in 2021 were inevitable because we were transitioning into a "high wage economy", then following that up about 6 months later refusing to engage with workers striking for better pay.

Incidentally on that subject, I've just come across an article by Andrew Marr from June 22nd that year suggesting "Boris" was shrewd and astute enough to use the strikes to leverage support away from Labour, and then call a snap election. In reality he resigned in disgrace just 16 days later.
