Really the only sane way of dealing with this debate is to agree, at a national level, that for every half degree the average yearly temperature rises there will be 500 politicians, commentators and journalists shot.

For every degree, in addition to those 500 it will be a further 500 family members of the same.
Subtle and to the point. I'm all for it 👍

lol at that Paul sweeney incident
Yeah, I checked out a video last week during the fall-out. 'Slowed down tea making rounds and caused Doris to spill a bit because there was insufficient elbow room' would be a better description than 'stormed'. Embarrassing/shameful how Labour are weaponising protest (and abusing police resources for their own ends when there is, apparently, loads of threatening stuff going on).

Daily Mail getting with nature re hedges, sort of:

"This means budding gardeners need to get their shears out urgently, or keep their eyes peeled for signs of life in their hedges.

And if your garden is home to golden eagle, white tailed eagle or osprey then you've got to be extra careful - these nests are protected all year round.

The Wildlife Trust suggests people check their hedge both from a distance, using binoculars, and up close.

The body is also urging you to report on neighbours, farmers or landowners who are brazenly breaking the rules and recklessly cutting their hedges by reporting them to the police for investigation by a Wildlife Crime Officer or calling 999 if necessary."

Christ, they ooze hate, even when the subject's a good cause. Think hand tools are okay for another month like.

All of that is completely made up.

Not one single person in the UK has a Golden Eagle, a Sea Eagle or an Osprey nesting in their back garden 😂

There’s also no laws about cutting hedges, just guidance.

Posted in the wrong thread of course (soz), but yeah, wtf like. Is there still only one pair of G.Eagles in England ? There'll be some nasty readers grassing on each other over this, yanno slagging each others hedges off trying to goad them into trimming them, even lending them some loppers, then blammo straight onto the blower trying to get the dibbles onto them. I actually didn't realise it applied to gardens/curtilage though...

Its not cutting hedges that is the issue, its destroying the sites nesting birds are using. Sadly it does happen because some people are dickheads.
