I get you, but policy changes and pledges surely are subject to outside factors.

As I said earlier, I’d rather they announce it now than when in power.

The problem is who is advising him, not necessarily him. They are both crap and are snakes; listening to them and letting them purge their enemies will result in a disaster.

They have to win it, but there is no point in winning if all they are going to offer is four more years of the status quo.

In one of the Mullin diaries there is a bit where, shortly after winning in 1997, Mullin urged Blair to turn on Murdoch and smash him now that Blair had won such a landslide. We'd be living in a better world now if he had.

People are making good points.

You do realise Labour will have to govern for five years where they will have to make actual decisions?

This current incarnation of Labour will do nothing but usher in an even worse tory government in the next five years.

You can’t pick a choose when to hold these people to account.

We need an effective Labour government.

At the moment it looks like we’re going to get five years of doing very little and blaming the tories for it.

That’s exactly what the tories want.
