Voting Labour is voting Labour mate, would you rather he didn't ? Because he's not as left wing as you.
No. I don't care how he votes or how left wing he is or not.

He calls himself a socialist but says he's never been left wing, which seems pretty mixed up to me, so I was hoping he could explain, but all he does is bang on about Corbyn for some reason.

Fair enough pal suppose that makes me not a socialist either. Though I admired Corbyn ideals, as I admired Michael Foots ideals. Those leaders though were never going to be elected, the World has turned towards the right, sickening as that is, that's the way it is. You have to fight to regain the middle ground, because that's where the majority of voters are. Not happy with that, but do we want another 13 years of the Tories, I know I don't. I like Joey would prefer the Andy Burnhams of this World running our party, but that's what it is a party, left, right and centre members and Politicians. Its not run by one man.

Voting Labour doesn't automatically make you a socialist, or left wing.

I ask again, how do you square being a socialist without being left wing?

I'm asking you, because you regularly claim to be a socialist, but say you're not left wing, and I'd like to understand how that's possible.

Joey is also in the Ku Klux Klan but he is not a racist.

He just likes celebrating Halloween all year long.

I doubt @Joey66 will vote for Starmer in the election.

If he believes the picture of Corbyn was a racist then he is going to fall for that Starmer will be planning for close links to the EU.
I keep off this thread you gi e a honest answer & then get bombarded with dross I will be voting Labour at thisg years GE - but door knobs heads bombard me with crap . :) .bye bye

Corbynism a bufoon hammered him - worst defeat for Labour 80 seats a party within a party = a massive defeat..

Ive posted this before about Corbyn and his popularity. The gammons may have turned on Labour in what was effectively the Brexit election (thanks to Starmer pushing within the Labour party for another referendum...which he of course has now fallen silent on like the u-turning turd he is) but the LP performance under Corbyn in attracting voters was better than under Blair in 2005, Brown in 2010 and Miliband in 2015.

Under Corbyn in 2019 - 10.5 million voted for the LP
Under Corbyn in 2017 = 13 million voted for the LP
Under Miliband in 2015 = 9.3 million voted for the LP
Under Brown in 2010 = 8.6 million voted for the LP
Under Blair in 2005 = 9.5 million voted for the LP

Just goes to show you how canny a political operator Blair was that he managed to win a 66-seat majority with fewer votes than Corbyn had when he suffered a landslide defeat. Almost like there's some skill involved in this leadership lark. Good to see you giving a bit of credit where it's due!

Oh yeah Dave, had any thoughts about why the Tories need to win now in order for the Socialists to triumph in 5 years? What part of your forecast hinges on Starmer losing this year?

Doesnt matter how many, its where really. Not a dig at JC, I really dont care, but its seats. Not numbers.

All down to the Lib Dem vote holding up. 22% of the vote they took to split the anti-Labour parties. The Lib Dem vote collapsed in the two Corbyn led elections and the Tories cleaned up the anti-Labour vote.

In any proper democratic system where every vote counted the so called 'worst election vote in Labours history' turns into a massive third of all seats in parliament...4 out of 10 seats in 2017.

To go with the narrative that Labour's 2019 performance was a historic low is to laugh in the face of democracy and to denigrate each voter's preference.
