How on earth can you equate a policy of internationalism and the de-colonisation of the places those migrants come from to prevent them having to make the hazardous journeys to Europe with the openly vindictive and racist filth of the Tories and Starmer's 'Labour'?
He and Enoch Powell were on the same side during the 1975 referendum. They had different angles, but they both wanted the UK out of the EU.

You don't have to 'believe' Starmer worked hand in glove with MI5 it's all documented.

That's the difference between assertion and facts.

Starmer as DPP allowed its chief 'Sir' Jonathan Evans to get off scot-free after MI5 had been in attendance as a British-Pakistani man was tortured in Pakistan.

Starmer is quite 'convivial' with MI5 and its chief.

As said: Manchurian Candidate.
Insufficient evidence it says there.

Doesn't say anything about him being an MI5 plant.

He's part of that circle. The Establishment man.

That's why HE determined there was 'insufficent'evidence.

You need to make your mind up btw. You often say you don't like him and think he's a rat on the S*n and spy cops and his dealings with unions etc etc.

You are shamed by this association with Starmer and his party.

I think hes a complete bellend.

Im not voting for him, nor for The Labour Party.

I AM VOTING TO REMOVE THE TORIES

Not repeating myself any longer.

Starmer could strangle kittens live on TV and I would still vote Labour.

I do not care what hes done or what he does in the future.

But when UKIP/ Brexit party or whatever, started pulling in votes, the tories shifted tack to swallow these up. My hope would be if the Labour Party saw votes going to the likes of the Greens, they would also follow suit. It’s a tough position but wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a wasted vote.

You hate that he has worked with MI5 because they are against your beloved KGB/FSB.

Getting shut of the Tories just gets you Tories. Take a look at the policy speech he's making today I linked from the Guardian earlier on the continuance of austerity under Starmer for the evidence of that.

Just do what I and thousands and hopefully millions will do: vote Green or abstain. 2029 will see an alternative to 'Labour'. Don't hand yourself a bad conscience for having voted for the scum.

No thanks.

My conscience will be cleansed after removing the Tories, meanwhile, I hope your vote for Green makes The Tories win and you are consumed with guilt.

In successive days we'll have seen Starmer praise Thatcherism and lay bare his party's strategy for the future: more public sector cuts, more austerity, more trickle down economics that look to a parlous economy to provide growth without any stimulus from government.

But "they're not" the Tories.

FFS. Give your heads a wobble.

I seem to recall Brown and Miliband et al having to make similar noises because the economy was a bit buggered and the public purse screwed. Thank the banks for that one.

Corbyn and Boris were operating in a relatively healthier economic place on spending pledges.

I'd be curious to see how they'd position themselves at the moment.

My borough has been either LD or Labour for decades. I think my vote at the last election was primarily based on Brexit, as one leader wanted to reverse it and the other had campaigned his entire life to leave. For better or worse, I also know Swinson personally, and while I don't think she'd have been a good prime minister whatsoever, there was a degree of loyalty.
That's rather disingenuous Bruce. I'll remove the mental gymnastics you're using to justify your stance, and provide the proposition impartially:

Vote for a leader who wanted to disregard a referendum or vote for one who led a democratic party who had decided to refine the previous intentionally vague (I wonder who ensured that was the case?) vote. You voted to ignore votes when it suits.

I just hope you haven't been lecturing people on compromise and grown-up politics.

I'm not sure a referendum is grown up politics tbh but asking people whether they really want to go down a generation-defining path before it's truly embarked upon doesn't seem that outlandish, especially when it's quite clear that the victors in that referendum haven't got a clue how it might be used to improve Britain.

Quite, and they were enabled by the Lib Dem's failing to compromise and align with the SNP and Labour and you wanted more of that mate. Labour almost certainly wouldn't have taken a sledgehammer to our rights, protections and trade, but you wanted it all and here we are.
