Hold on, you said there's no chance these days of forming a government on leftist policies....in 2017 Corbyn polled 12.8 million votes to May's 13.6 million....in the face of the most hostile anti-Labour media campaign's there's ever been.

Just asserting stuff doesn't make you right, it just makes your arguments look lazy and pointless.

Unfortunately 'every means of reaching the voters country wide' left behind is a lost opportunity versus the tory-scum, who will seek to capitalise further via their chums (murdoch remember) running the media. Their votes count as well, and winning over those that've been crapped on by 14 years of tory-scum theft is as important as appealing to all the other dynamics of the vote carrying populous. Liverpool/merseyside is not the nation, and the nation has to vote enough to oust the tory-scum.

Had reason to look at Mackenzie’s wiki recently and there is a quote on there from him which details who the paper was to appeal to and you have basically nailed it. Something like working class bigots sitting in the pub

And then again to political genius, Boris Johnson. The very fact the media was so hostile is not a badge of honour: it's a disadvantage that Starmer is trying to diminish, much to your chagrin.

Starmer btw instructed his party 3 years ago to allow through a Bill to grant MI5 the right to commit criminal activity and spy on the lives of British citizens in eery walk of life.
