If her defence team have the impertinence to suggest in mitigation that it wasn't anything but premeditated, then I expect the judge to throw the book at her.

She blamed an ex-aid knowing they were out of country and gave false details for them, before apparently giving a few no comments when interviewed.

Then, she blamed her brother for driving the vehicle and all while an MP who is a qualified lawyer. As @tsubaki mentioned, consider all that without pleading...

... I'd put a bet on her getting between twelve and twenty-four months. I can't see her getting the full three years but it may reach close to that!

My particular disgust goes to Anna Soubry, a cry arseing scumbag with a voting record that Heinrich Himmler would have a conscience about.

Agreed, Position of authority & responsibility and wilfully perverted the course of justice , don’t see anyway she’s not going to nick ,
 
I have no idea about the demographics of Peterborough but it just sounds like a Tory place. Slim Labour majority will be tough to defend given the circumstances of the by-election.

The plus point is that the Tory candidate will have absolutely nothing to offer in terms of policies/vision for the future. If Labour can swamp the area with activists I think they´re in with a chance of holding on.

It'll be fought on Brexit not any MPs misdemeanour. That wont shift ther dial either way.

My guess is that Labour will win that by-election comfortably.

We agree on that Dave, Soubry is a cry arseing scumbag and the sooner she is out of Westminster the better.......

Though the abuse she got from some idiots today outside Westminster is bang out of order.

I can't wait for the next election when she loses her seat but nobody deserves to be called Hitler because they are supporting the opposite view on Brexit to you.

I agree with that. I just remember her being drunk on the TV the night of the referendum, when it finally hit her that we were leaving.......

...Soubry is strong enough to stand by her Brexit beliefs, consistently speak up against her own PM and cross the House and join with like-minded opposition MPs. If the PM would’ve been as conciliatory we would’ve reached a solution that a majority in Parliament could’ve agreed on.

I think your comparison with a Nazi is not only wrong but also unsavoury.

Andrea Jenkyns is also a stupid women according Phillip Hammond, the faux pas outrage is just silly, only last week Mays party whips recalled two of their own MPs who have less than savoury allegations against women...
