In fairness to Byrne, he seems the type to vote for a ceasefire without his constituents pushing for it. He's very vocal on a few issues like the right to food, homelessness etc. He's not perfect but seems a decent man.
Hmmm.

I think he's a bit of a divvy tbh.

Those things you mention are the bare minimum you expect of a Labour MP.
 
….he once posted that the wives and girlfriends of Everton fans should lock themselves away after a defeat. He‘s my MP, I wrote to him saying i doubted his suitability for high public office. He did write back to say he regretted saying it but I haven’t changed my view.

But we have a supposed left wing politician representing us who has done SFA for the local community in my opinion. Couldn’t even see the corrupt council of his own party or ignored it. Will not vote for him, Carden that is

But Dave, I am no left wing activist, I just need to know who is going to represent and promote this constituency, which is one of the most deprived in the country. Give me a candidate or party who will do that

…I honestly think he‘s not up to it. He’s just a glorified shop steward who’s found a route to high office. He might help out in food banks but I’m dismayed that he represents me in Parliament.
