They are pretty much spot on there, and in line with the public, as demonstrated.

Labour big week will party conference when the media has to take full note and report, so labour will present their versions then, so tactical is my guess. Also the media are so focused on Tory leadership race all their big political hitters are just regurgitating the briefings inbetween holidays, the media is really complicit in this political malaise...Is Starmer putting enough out there on the cost of living? Interesting to see Gordon Brown make some very valid comments this morning but I did wonder the current labour leadership are not as vocal.
Good move by Labour will head off some of the inevitable attack lines of last Labour government and banking crisis. Probably first time Brown has not been instantly dismissed because of what happened in his tenure as PM.![]()

Evety word...
… the irony of a BJ fanboy writing this. The man has always been one of Russia‘s useful idiots….
He got lots of credit for his late intervention in the last Scottish independence referendum, although probably not from the Labour party.Good move by Labour will head off some of the inevitable attack lines of last Labour government and banking crisis. Oh look, Jeremy Corbyn saying that Scotland should have a second referendum. He really is an idiot isn’t he. With Scotland gone, the Labour Party may as well pack up and forget any chance of ever winning an election…..
Having morals and beliefs you actually stick to doesn’t make you an idiot, Pete. Perhaps you have lost sight of that supporting Boris.
He can have all the best morals and beliefs in the world, but if Scotland goes so does any chance of a future Labour government……
Labour are pretty much dead in Scotland now anyways.Firstly, the notion that Labour cannot win without Scottish MPs is factually incorrect. I believe there has only been two occasions in 70 years that Scottish MPs contributed to a Labour government which couldn’t have existed without it.
Secondly, even if it were true, it wouldn’t make Corbyn an idiot for believing in something.
And any chance of a Tory gov in Scotland.Oh look, Jeremy Corbyn saying that Scotland should have a second referendum. He really is an idiot isn’t he. With Scotland gone, the Labour Party may as well pack up and forget any chance of ever winning an election…..

Not in 2017. They were all speaking in 2017.They are pretty much spot on there, and in line with the public, as demonstrated.
The Telegraph isn’t ‘left right and centre’ PeteHis plan for capping energy costs for six months is being ridiculed left, right and centre. Everyone benefits from a £29Bn spend, especially those wealthy enough to live in large homes and even more so those with their own swimming pools etc. It will be quietly ditched I expect…..
