Piennar was always going to go imo, he had history for doing exactly the same to the only other club who offered him a contract renewal.

He was at one of the most decorated clubs in Europe, who were regulars in the Champions Lge and had won leagues and cups with him to play for a team who where mid table in the German Lge. Admittedly he was only in the Dutch Lge but at the time it was on a par with The German Lge and the top sides in Holland where doing well in Europe.

I wasn't too bothered about him going. I realise we lost out on a transfer fee but I don't think he was worth as much as some people believe and I didn't really fancy us paying a player who has a lot of limitations 65/70k a week. Arteta may be having a bad time at the moment but he's still much better than Piennar imo.
