The L.C.A.B. / THT Transfer Window Thread ....

Don't worry lads. The financial fair play and wage caps that will come in will sort us out no end. Well be champions league bound in no sweat

I think you are reading a lot into what was ostensibly a throw away line to prevent someone from replying with "we might if we get BK out." It seems all I've done lately are long posts detailing how incredibly unlikely it is we will find a buyer so I was kind of taking it as read that everyone knows the slim odds of a takeover. It's ironic you took it the opposite way because I'm probably one of the most cynical people around about the chances of getting BK out (even though I would like it as much as the next sane Evertonian).

The main point of the post was about how we are the fools (and I include myself as a fool as I check this thread every day) for sitting around waiting for a transfer. Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice ... etc. Anyway I fixed my post so it won't be so misleading.

I still don't want to sell Rodwell for all the reasons I have already explained -- chasing me around different threads isn't going to change that. Luckily (for you) I'm not in charge so you may still get your wonderful wish of us selling another one of our great homegrown talents. I don't really want to talk about it anymore; I think we've both made our positions clear. COYB!

Fair do's old lad. Btw, it's only cos of our current predicimant of not having a pot to piss in that i suggested selling Rodwell for the best possible deal.

Now if we was in a financial position such as team like Stoke's even, i wouldnt of even suggest it cos we'd be able to spend and add to the squad and build around players like Rodwell, but were not even in there position are we!. We obviously have the worst finances in the league.

1800: BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS
Sunderland
have finally confirmed the signing of Stephane Sessegnon from Paris St Germain on a three-and-a-half year deal for a fee of around £6m.

I'd saw that they'd bought him but i didnt know they'd got him for that much, thats a steal for him IMO, he's a really good player!.

Weve been linked to him in the past although im not too sure if it was genuine but i'd of liked him at Everton.

1904: BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS
Sunderland have had a bid of £7.5m accepted for Everton pair Louis Saha and John Heitinga. More to follow.

So thats £10.5m for Heitinga, and we paid them £3m to take King Louis...

Sounds about right...

Seeing Vela join WBA yesterday and now Sunderland get Sessegnon i feel sick, just feels like other clubs are interested in improving and building but wer not.

Played wel today but wont exactly be favorites now to go through, my hopes now are to get 40 pts on board asap.

Cant wait for damn window to shut.

Its not a case of not being interested mate, we haven't got a pot to piss in. pienaar, yak and vaughn were all let go to balance the books.

We are run by an accountant (Elstone), all busineses need an accountant but i wouldn't let them run it.

Yes, but has also worked with chelsea & city, and sky in marketing and head of footy affairs for the latter. I doubt we could have a better man with a broader scale knowledge for Marketing appeal, I use that term loosely, as evertonclaims.com grows!

in a nut shell lads its embarrasing how we constantly fail to keep pace with the competion nothing less, sunderland have 2 good players there today giving them options at the least.

it all becomes to apparent for me we are reliant on selling and moysie's skill to nick a player ie cahill, jags i for one really fear for us we need investment urgently other wise give it 1 or 2 seasons and we will have gone back 10 years
