We NEED a striker.. There's no way we can rely on Beckford for goals, and like everyone else is saying Saha isn't going to play 2 games in a row

We're gonna have more strikers playing in the Championship tomorrow than we do at Goodison :(
 
What an absolute joke our football club is. We are small-time and need to face up to the fact. If we go into February with 3 out and noone in I think there will be murder. And it's about time Evertonians made their feelings felt instead on just whinging about it on the internet but not doing anything about it.

I expect a Lars Jacobsen or maybe even a Segunda Castillo to arrive on monday.

I know it's not as simple as Moyes searching for Pace>15, Acceleration>15, Strength>15 and getting Steve Round to only include realistic targets, but I'd've been buzzing if we'd loaned Obafemi Martins. Granted I haven't seen him play since he left Newcastle but he's still only 26, has scored goals everywhere he's gone (which includes some good sides), seems to have the power and quickness to play as a lone striker, was available on loan and apparently desperate to return to England for the sake of his kid.

So did Moyes decide he wasn't good enough? Could we not afford the fee/wages? Do Birmingham have contacts we don't? Had Obafemi seen the Facebook group Yobo and Yak started ****ging off Moyes?

It's a head-scratcher alright.

I wonder if we can hold out and try and get him on a loan with a view to buy, or maybe get them to knock a bit off of their asking price.

I mean, he'd be a fantastic replacement for Pienaar, and not too costly in the grand scheme of things.
