Blue Bill's silence at the moment speaks volumes. I think the walls are closing in on him. If only this cash had been stumped up, the assets he'd have at his disposal plus us being (christ knows how many places) higher in the league would benefit all. Speculate to accumulate. Just look at Dzeko's value now. The options/avenues created by having such assets are clear. The board need to trust Moyes and back him NOW in order to move us onwards. Normally patient folks are now getting IMPATIENT as there are too many "what could have beens". Seems Bill knows his comments on finding investment and all that bollox now only add fuel to the fire. I think that's why he's turned into the invisible man. Moyes is on a cracking wage and all that but if he can pull off a couple of cracking signings whilst the strings are so tight and whilst Bill offers nowt from his end, I'd say he bloody deserves em'.

Nods head ,...

He too . Quinny told me privately , what S had already said ( He commentated with Ginger at the W/C ) .

He was targetted and was keen . $15M if memory serves .

SOMEBODY never came up with the wonga ....

What a downer!, all makes sense now why Moyesy wanted as much as poss in the summer for Yak but let him go out on loan this month, he wanted as much as he could for Yak to put towards Dzeko's signing or a similar signing.

Uh-huh .

AN' He wants AS MUCH as poss' for Yak in the summer . £4/5M instead of £2M .

cheers for all the info lcab/tht. do you kniw if hopes are high for ty browning as he looked decent in the reserve derby a few months ago.?

Tbh, even though he's had a **** time of it at us for the past season and half, he's still got to be worth £4/5m of any clubs money.

think that's probably the thinking behind the loan, Yak goes out for half a season bangs in a bag load of goals and proves he's not shot, teams will be interested again and his value will go back up

Well he started on the right foot with a debut goal ay, hope he keeps it up and stokes up the interest in him!.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

It's me all over that. Can't handle much more of the "watch this space" spin followed by penny pinching, selling to buy and a squad that gets smaller almost every year.
We've overachieved for so long, given the net spend and squad size, but at times, some of the football we've played & the tonkings we've dished out, it's been a pleasure. In spite of the fact this current overachieving spell is really an underachievement considering where I believe we should be, I've enjoyed it, because we looked like we were defying the system. We were torch bearers for every club who couldn't spunk silly money. Then we hit the brick wall that was this season.
Suddenly, crap sides are "parking the bus" and we're struggling to put things to bed. Coupled with indifferent form of certain players, watching Everton has been like torture. Not because we've not played decent footy, it's often been good, but because there seems to be no euphoric ending.
When we were crap & skint, I could handle it. Now we're better than half decent and skint, maybe my expectations of a club that has won 9 league titles are too high? Or that of the board is too low?
Anyway, I'm chocca with the board. Surely, they must be chocca with the grief? Please, Mr Jesus, come and save Everton and bring a few quid.
