hope we get him aswell, would be good as cover and moyes will get 200% out of him and he's young enought to have resale value unlike distin
Distin is a proven defender, they cost decent money regardless of age, almost.. Besides, the market is a little inflated atm, we have to pay the going rates.

never said anything against him as a player, he is a good signing and will do well for us, my point is that while we haven't got a billioniare owner, we have to play smart with the market and do our best to recycle money,
if we buy a player for $5 million we need to try and sell that player for at least that much and more.

I don't think Senderos is that bad. Maybe the valuations were too far apart?

That was likely the problem - back when he was likely to sign for us, the press suggested that someone else (iirc Hamburg) had come in with a bid of £5 million for him which was why we didnt get him (for £2.5 million), though that doesnt seem to have actually translated into him moving from Arsenal since we lost interest in him.

£5 million for a player that Wenger blatantly wants to get rid of and who has less than 12 months on their contract is excessive, maybe he will join for free next summer. In any case, he is better than Taylor.

Tottenham boss has made a shock £3m last-ditch bid for Portsmouth’s unsettled Niko Kranjcar.

Croatian midfielder Kranjcar, 25, had a medical at Tottenham on Monday night as Harry Redknapp looks to strengthen his midfield after Luka Modric was ruled out with a broken leg in Saturday's 2-1 win over Birmingham.

Kranjcar was also a target for Everton boss David Moyes who was priced out of the running for Tottenham’s David Bentley, but the Goodison boss look likely to miss out again with Kranjcar keen to join his former Pompey boss Redknapp at Spurs.

The midfielder wants to join the exodus from Portsmouth after Peter Crouch, Glen Johnson and Sol Campbell all quit the club this summer.

Harry does it again

I read somewhere it was a done deal for 6 mil euros , what happened ? I hope it's just paper work because Heitinga would be an awesome addition to the team ,he's very strong and will adapt perfectly here.
