It seems to be personal terms, wages etc. He has high demands, we won't compromise our present structure. I think it will still happen though. (y)
 

In the space of 5 minutes I've had two new articles come up on my news feed. The first claims he has lowered his demands and will sign. The second quotes the Marca and says it's dead in the water (because of aforementioned demands). The hacks have no idea how this is going to turn out but we shouldn't be surprised, they also keep on calling him a right back :dodgy:
 
Having 3 days to complete transfers also helped the situation. Is the deadline to sign European players now over or?

ahead of Tuesday's transfer window deadline.
But the Holland international has not yet given an indication over whether a move will be completed as Atletico want to retain his services.
He told De Telegraaf

: "The clubs came to an agreement about the transfer, however Atletico didn't want me to leave. I am a first team regular and feel very appreciated by the club."

has also been linked with a switch to Goodison Park following the several big names to arrive at Real this summer.
But the 26-year-old playmaker has confirmed he is prepared to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, at least until the winter transfer window.
He said: "I heard Everton wanted me. Directly I have said I want to stay in Madrid. This is also to do with my personal life.
"I want to fight for my place for at least a half year and then I know how good I am. If I don't play much, I can always leave in January."
