Distin was brought in while we were in Europe so it is a possibility

I agree, I dont think we "need" Bentley anymore. Wheres our Playmaker FFS.

We have Bily now, no need for Bentley, crying out for a CM.

I think we could do very well with signing Bentley. As Arteta won't be back for quite a while, we could do with Pienaar moving to cm and play in Arteta's position for now.

Our line-up against Fulham could be looking like this, if all comes off:

That's what I thought, Moyes mentioned using Pienaar in a central role during pre-season. It'd have to be alongside Neville though, who needs to be in there at the moment.

Pienaar's problem is he is poor at shooting. If he plays behind the front man he would get opportunities, but would either waste them or try a pass instead.
