Totally agree.....but Everton fans be patient? You're kidding right....there's a thread with a poll after every training session asking if the manager should go ffs.

i do like him, but i'm not sure i want him being first choice starting next season. ideally he'd be out on loan whereas we flog off howard for a couple of mill and bring in two keepers for limited amounts. highly achievable i believe, i.e. marshall and romero for about £4m combined. but we have a lot of areas to address. so would be content with howard out and one in.

Would rather let Howard go back to the MLS, have Robles as first choice and then promote some youth; we dont have loads of money and it should be spent on other areas of the pitch (replacing the milkman and Alcaraz, for instance - or paying a witch to lure Deulofeu back).

i'm not sure a couple of pretty good games is enough to say robles should be first choice. end of the season we can get a better picture, but atm i'd want a better keeping partnership than robles and griffiths.

Marshall and Romero. Please. That would be approx 10m in fee and 80k or so a week in wages.

Talk of loaning out Robles and selling Howard is ridiculous.
One will go. Hopefully Howard.
If you loan Robles you then need to keep Howard and nothing changes.

I hope so mate, I really do, I think Joel deserves to stay as number 1 but I can see Martinez putting Howard straight back in sadly. I hope I'm wrong!

Glad to see most people come around to Joel and really happy for him personally given the stick we gave him. I would be shocked if Howard comes back into the team.

just think we need a first choice keeper in his prime. robles is still young for a keeper, it won't do him or us any good to be sitting on our bench all season - we need him out playing games, hence my opinion.

The thing is you weren't wrong. He was awful at crosses last season, always choosing to punch rather than catch but we just needed to give him time to improve the weak aspects of his game. We should remember that with all our younger players. We sometimes expect far too much too soon.
