Movie Guy Voice:

"Martin Alvito is a man... raised my scientists... A man who is what nature and events made him... They made him real.

And it turns out that expressing himself freely, openly and honestly is a much better way to live.

This summer, be bored off your tits by 'ESSAYMAN', coming to a screen near you, Summer 2022."
It is like the Everton version of the six million dollar man lol

The Six Quid Fella

This is a very good summary. I’ve done a bit of browsing on incel forums (no laughing at the back, I’m just interested in online subcultures).

As always with these things, there’s some genuine, real life problems underlying it - body image issues, loneliness, lack of mental health support, as one of those images sets out.

But rather than realising that almost all people have some experience of these issues at some point in their life (particularly young men), the incel group seeks to blame others, generally in this case women, rather than accepting these issues as just part of human experience, and they then collectively position themselves as unique victims, rather than addressing their issues.

I'm stuck between two minds.

One mind is quite sympathetic. I was a proper oddball in my late teens and very early twenties and I had no understanding of how to approach women. Didn't have a gf until I was 21 or something and even that was shortlived because I was so strange. I imagine if I had been the same age today, I would have been ripe to be pulled in by this horsecrap. It's genuinely tough for a lot of lads growing up, especially now in a saturated misinformation environment. It's a minefield of anxiety and insecurity and I do think it fundamentally comes down to mental health

The other mind just wants to Lol at these 'kin virgins

I remember reading an article (actually there have been a fair few of them) of the implications of porn addiction in the current younger generation.

People in their 20’s are the generation that grew up with the internet at home and there is a lot of concern about the sheer amount of pornography young people have access to on the web from a very young age and how that can affect body image issues, attitudes towards healthy sexual relationships and relationships in general.

I’m sure the reasons young lads get involved in this (Incel communities) are numerous, not to mention the echo chamber of the online forums and groups they gravitate towards, but it shows how fast society’s ‘norms’ are moving and how some can get left behind.

Think I’m the same really. I’ve got genuine sympathy for people with proper body image problems, mental health issues or people who’ve felt lonely. I had a phase in my 20s where I was surrounded by loads of mates and was out all the time, but I felt soul crushingly lonely. But ya get through it.

My sympathy runs out, where it becomes a culture of blaming others and seeing it as some unique issue to them, and that’s where the instinct to just lol at the virgins is overwhelming - although that probably doesn’t help. Ha ha

Its nothing new these groups of people have been around for years - murders and spree killings have gone on for decades by your stereotypical loner - there was a documentary a while back on some bloke in Canada who shot up a College in the late 80's because he hated feminists.

Its only that the internet allows like minded people to meet and discuss things in groups these days pretty much like the issues of hate/racist abuse towards footie players - its always gone on now its just there in plain sight.

The media just love whipping up a moral panic storm for clicks.

Mad innit. The birds lash themselves under race horses in-front of their families and fellas just go grand theft auto.

An ex of mine threw herself head first down the stairs like a dart because I said I was going out once. I say ex, we were 'seeing each other' but her jealousy was on another dimension. Can't blame her like I was dipping in my early 20's. No ginger pubes here.

This is a good point. I remember as a teen finding a playboy in some bushes and it being the most exciting thing ever. Can’t imagine what age kids are watching porn now. the sheer volume of it and the often violent content has created some very odd ideas of gender roles.
