I note that certain sections of the UK press are pushing a narrative, post Plymouth shooting, that there is a dangerous 'incel movement'.

Now, personally I find the whole concept of angry internet numpts basically saying "I can't get laid and I can't figure out why" really amusing. However, what's the wider GOT view. Is it a genuine threat? Is a new wave of violent misogyny about to sweep Britain (and elsewhere)? Should we jst round them up into a camp and make them wear t-shirts emblazoned with 'virgin'?

There’s a lot to be said for this. Anyone under 40 believes everything they read on the net and follow it on an hourly basis. Meanwhile us older members go to the pub, discuss real issues with other drunks then forget all about it…..

I dont care what anyone believes Pete , it up to them
but why do they try and convert you because they have seen a podcast or something on youtube.
I used to browse a forum called unhypnotize yourself , and that was full on conspiracy theories, cem trails, UFO ect , now it's like they have broken out and are spreading around the world like gremlins after a bath with thier nonsense.
Incel is obviously what we used to just call a loser with a bad attitude.

More importantly, the internet has provided the opportunity for others to monetise the opinions and feelings of those people, by feeding them YouTube vids to validate their views, and sit back and let the advertising revenue flow in, which provides a reinforcement mechanism to fringe views.
