Flirted with 43 C here yesterday, might get there today and tomorrow. Then it "cools off" to 36 C by Thursday. I can't remember the last time it rained at my house, maybe May? Excited to have more and more summers like this, on top of having the Taliban run my state/country.

Be nice getting some 'normal' weather from tomorrow. Sick to death of hearing about this 2 day heatwave on the news channels. Back in 1976 we had 9 weeks of wall-to-wall sunshine & heat. Don't recall ever being constantly told to stay in the shade, drink plenty of water, keep yourself cool, blah, blah, blah. I was 18 years old, & surprisingly enough I was able to work those things out for myself. We were very clever back then.

This may come a complete shock to you, but society, laws, media and UK health requirements have moved on since 1976.

Back in summer of 1969 it was so hot that we used stand by the campfire just to cool off. It was so dry that we would lick postage stamps for moisture. Ya'll are giant kitties.
