Just had a few drops of rain but nothing note worthy. Least the stifling heat has passed, this morning there wasn't a hint of a breeze and it was very sweatboxy.

Aye but it's a different heat here, not like that poncy euro heat.
I’d been pretty warm in the house today, working from home. But popped out around 1pm for some scran and it was a wall of heat as I stepped out the front door.
Think was 37 at the time, certainly the hottest I’ve experienced in this country. Perfect excuse to buy Magnums though.
Hottest I’ve ever felt was 44 at Chichen Itza, and F me, that was intense.

GSTT (my local NHS trust) has just announced a state of emergency because the computer system across the entire trust has gone down due to the heat. If only they'd used different coloured maps!
