Look at the 2016 accounts and the mess that was the balance sheet, consider what the 80mil was spent on - sacking Martinez, making Goodison unencumbered so the club can even consider moving, and paying off RMF 35mil (yep BK/RM had spunked 35mil of this season's core award), along with bringing in RK.
I have had a theory for a while that BK knew he had to sell more than 18 months ago, but it's even longer and more boring than this post.
