My wife has worked in the NHS for around 15 years, so I get a daily dose of grumbling about it. Some of that may be solved by more money, but there's an awful lot that is simply due to it being badly run. I've also consulted with the NHS a few times, and it's insanely frustrating.

bingo

not one person ever complains about the staff, theyre marvellous who dedicate so much to helping others.

the entire running of it is a shambles, no integration between trusts, no communication. it’ll always need funding because it’s a monster of an organisation.

like most government departments they work in silos; person A has information that person B needs, but person A wont share so it’s escalated for person C to make a decision. However he needs a meeting

On the antisemitishm kerfuffle flaring up for the ten-thousandth time, this is probably the best analysis:

Not disputing the argument whatsoever, and I appreciate I could look but am being lazy just heading out for a meeting, but is there a similar chart for unemployment rate? There's obviously a trade off between paying someone a bit less and keeping them employed, or maintaining the wages of those with a job but sacking those who don't contribute value. That may not apply of course, hence why I'm curious to see any correlation.

As an aside though, great to see the A8 countries doing so well. I know wages in Czech have been booming for some time now, such that their PPP is now higher than Spain.
No mate, but i've sent my researcher @Joey66 out into the big Googlesphere to find out for you.
There are loads of factors at play as you'll be aware. Do you honestly think we're a thriving economy?

I miss the days when Joe used to enlighten us on here and we'd all playfully joust. He's in a better place though and can have a kick about with Brian Labone and Gordon West.

I am sick of the GE and keep of these threads -I made sure my hands were full of dirt when the tory guy knocked and shook hands with him - not even voting ......oh for a Labour leader like Andy Burnham they would walk it on December the 12th ......IMO it may be a hung parliment anyway......

Like it or not, we are a thriving economy, with total employed going up and unemployed going down. If Boris gets a decent majority then company spending and investment taps will open and drive further growth.....

What sort of dirt mate?

Who wouldn't like a thriving economy?
