The Farhad Moshiri interview

No I never. You asked if I was happy with the business we'd done, and I said yes because I am.

Didn't ask me about a striker

Which I said in the post you quoted. Last line in the paragraph.

You admitting that you were very happy with our business, is as good as saying you weren't at all bothered we didn't bring in a striker, when it's so obvious we needed one, and our manager spouting it for weeks.

You're happy with what we've got.

I don't think he meant what you are implying.

I am happy with the business we have done yet would have been happier if we got a CF. Think he means the same.

How have we got a £50m - £60m net spend then.

You bring players in basically to replace players gone or going you don't stock pile them all. It's shameful we are getting money for players going we should give them away.

50 million net spend.

Barkley and Niasse were effectively as good as sold. Everton expected them to be punted on. The net spend is currently around that yes, but won't be for long.

Still missing the point I see.

Moshiri has been found out to be nothing but words and ego. Nothing more. Is yet to back his own mouth. Bottom line.

So you agree with the actual facts, then make up your own "facts" to make yourself "right"?

Or have I misread what you have just posted?

Not missing any point. Barkley and Naisse are still here so you twist it that if we sold them we would have a CF. That is speculative at its best.

So in January you are stating that to get a CF we will punt Barkley and Naisse to pay for it? I believe if our players have not gelled and we are struggling up front then a CF will be drafted in in January regardless of Barkley or Naisse fees, but if we do use those fees towards a CF then it's sell to buy rather than good business. I fear you are putting Everton in a no win situation to suit an argument. I am sure you would be up in arms if we let them go on a free.

No it's not. I like how your skilled at making assumptions at other people's thought process

Keep up the good fume, you're doing a fantastic job

The events of yesterday do raise a lot of questions about moshri an his footballing nous, the manager an every supporter can clearly see we need a striker to be the focal point up front yet he chose to try an disillusion us by going on about the amount of attacking players we have signed. It does raise a lot if questions about Walsh as well him an the board have had months to identify a replacement for the unnamed one and yet they have failed the manager. No supporter seriously thought Rooney an sandro were going to replace the goals lost by RL.

At the start of this window it was the most optimistic I have been for years I thought this is it this is where we start playing with the big boys and challenge for top 4 but it appears moshri an the board are happy to settle for mediocracy an top 10.

Mr Moshiri has been unveiled to be another false prophet

Best of the rest and being content.
I don't think this is true. Doubt he'd be invested in sorting out a new stadium if it were. I think plans are in place for the coming years not only for that but for some serious squad strengthening. All in good time I'm afraid. Can't buy the world in a single window (unless you're PSG). We've done some great business this time round. Fell at the final hurdle undoubtedly, but I reckon we tried everything to get in who Ronny wanted.

Yes, and I've been pretty clear about that since the window closed. I also think that we needed another centre back.

But what I won't do is declare the entire window a shambles because of it. It was a moot point to one of our best ever windows

But you're very happy with our business. Struggling to score goals and we are an injury to Rooney and Keane away from a shambles. But you're very happy.

Btw, I will take you up on that little bet you mentioned to another poster a few pages back. Our current squad in my opinion isn't good enough for top 6. We will not finish in the top 6.

We've added 8 players, how can that not be good?

And go on then, I'm game; £50 to a charity of the other persons chosing
