Police will be flooded into central London on Saturday amid fears two protest marches – one in support of jailed far-right leader Tommy Robinson, the other welcoming US president Donald Trump – could combine and turn violent.

Specially trained officers will patrol the processions after a previous demonstration in support of the EDL founder saw metal barriers and bottles being thrown at police.

Scotland Yard has already imposed restrictions on where the protestors can go “in order to prevent serious disorder and disruption to Londoners”.


This is NOT ending well at all.

Baffles me how after the speech their leader gave at the Free Tommy rally that the BBC continue to have anything to do with UKIP. A poor state of affairs.

Brexit and then Trump seemed to give them faux credibility, they slithered out from under their rocks and decided that their bile was now mainstream. The fact that 24% have said they’d vote for a far right anti migrant / anti Islam party makes me want to weep. It seems that we’ve been living in denial when it came to the decline of racism, it patently just stayed behind closed doors.
