Evertonians just need some hope after four years of continual decline and threat of relegation. Remember in 94 and then in 98 never again? The Everton of the past few years were way more stressful. I get the impatience at getting better now we got new owners and an old manager. Throwing away your easiest chance at a cup after three decades without a cup only compounds that impatience. Give the fans some happy days and nights, but more than that give them the notion that better days are ahead. Give Evertonians Hope Again.

That's why I say the game has lost its soul, in the top leagues anyway..

What gives us the right to think we're better than a cup competition, a cup that for lower league teams is there dream days out..

Total disrespect of those teams and the tournament..

Empty seats dotted all over the ground tonight, the stay at home season ticket holders definitely detracted from the atmosphere and you have to wonder if that could have been the difference between a win or a draw.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I think that lot of the empty seats are bought up by those corporate companies and sold at inflated prices.

Some going that, I got a few first hand reports that security on the last day vs Southampton were frisking people very thoroughly, overlooking scud missiles and grenades and samurai swords, they were more interested in finding allen keys, pliers, multitools and socket sets.

Seems these geniuses were ahead of the game and saw the increased focus coming and tried it on at the Ipswich game instead.

Also, banned for the rest of the season, make him guest of honour first home game next.
