The Expendables 2

Selling Magaye would be a terrible move, we wouldn't get anything for him when he can still come good - I'd much rather loan him out which would: increase his value for a sale; potentially make him into the player he can be for us. Anichebe is also worth more to us than the £3-4m that we would get for him - he's more than proved this in the calender year of 2012.

Heitinga going is the only real expendable player for me, as he's the only player not in the first 11 that has some real sale value.

Re thinking the thread title now, "expendable". No one really is are they? We're that short for half decent players past our starting eleven.

I don't think anyone is expendable at the moment, the squad is too thin, if everyone was fit I would loan out to championship sides Barkley, Gueye, Anichebe, Vellios and Duffy.

Gueyes good, he essentially took us to wembley, the game at wembley knocked his confidence big time though, hes also seemed to have lost his pace which is odd.

1) Heitinga - Doesn't look like recapturing his form and could get a decent amount for him.

2) Gueye - As stated above, many others above him in the pecking order.

3) Neville - To management.

Is Gueye really that bad? I know he played a few games last season but he hasn't had a good run in the team.

BUT if we needed to raise some funds for a new striker etc then he should be sold as Oviedo seems like a better younger more talented left footed player who can cover for both Baines and Pienaar.

Heitinga would be my first choice, if we needed to sell.
He had a decent game on Sunday but I don't think he's actually good enough, and has made some very costly mistakes, his defending has looked lazy at times.
I do also question his attitude on the pitch.

And if Moyes wanted to get a new keeper in this window then sell Mucha before his contract runs out, he won't be worth much I'm sure but we could get something for him at least.

Heitinga
Gueye
Mucha (only if we get another keeper.)

He played against Sunderland last year (I think it was Sland anyway) and had an absolute blinder, man of the match by a mile, but his problem is a chronic lack of pace - something which he's never going to improve upon - and for that reason he's definitely surplus to requirements in my eyes.

He played well but I wouldn't say that like.

Gueye needs a spell out on loan.

Lets give the lad a chance eh? Hes only young and although hasnt looked brilliant in his limited time on the pitch he hasnt looked useless either.

Besides who is going to buy him right now anyway?

He's better than me at football, probably you as well. Depends on your comparison method.

Well that's probably the least you'd expect from a professional footballer! ;)

Don't get me wrong, I want him to do well when he plays, but he doesn't have any pace (which is weird, cos' on his debut he looked mega-fast) and a good first touch - he's a decent player, but not prem standard
