Can anyone give me the link to book train tickets from Geneva to bern please ?

Swiss National Train site http://www.sbb.ch/en/home.html

You have to register. Once booked, they will provide a link to a downloadable PDF, which is your ticket.

Just booked mine tonight. 50 Swiss Francs for a 1 way Geneva to Bern trip + 5 Swiss francs for a reservation.

We're on the 10.45 out of Geneva on the 19th.

Can't wait!

Im just booking my trains when we rock up to the station.

We land in Basel about 10am, we are not sure what time we will be able to get our room.....and we may find a top boozer, so we cant commit to a train time.

It will alll work out, always does.

you don't need a reservation. safe the 5 francs for a good beer.

the supersaver tickets will be available in ten days. be patient.

How much cheaper will they be through supersaver?

Also, after the match, the Bern train station is about 3km from the ground... Will there be trams available that time of night to take a few thousand wanting to get back to station?

We r in the old town of Basel...looks to be some decent establishments there for a drink. Surely u don't want to miss the carnival in Bern though :pint2:

Yeah, do a bit of everything.

Dont want to have to run out of a boozer bouncing full of blues, to catch a train I pre-booked though!!

sometimes its almost half the price. it depends on which train you take.

read the first post again. there are trams, busses and trains back to the city center. don't worry, it's not the first football game in bern.

the tram station is at guisanplatz, the bus station on winkelriedstrasse and wankdorf bhf means wankdorf station (suburban trains).

on matchdays the final tram station is guisanplatz.

your end of the stadium is the sempachstrasse end.

It seems a bit weird that the cheapest train tickets are sold so close to the date of travel....would have though the other way round. No doubt there'll be no supersavers available for Feb 19/20, they've probably noticed all the searches for those dates on the site!
