OK, another thread about transfers, but just wanted to get a few things off my chest.

Normally, I dont like to listen to speculation, don't like my mate telling me about the latest who were are linked with. I am happy to wait until the cheesy shots on the OS.

But like others I'm getting worried that either we are getting nobody, or that our fortune is too tightly tied up with the Kirkby decision.

One thing that seems to be happening is that Everton, if they are bringing people in, are sticking very strickly to the "quietly, quiet approach" or as BK calls it the "Everton way".

I suspect that in keeping to that philosophy, we are going to hear a lot of porkies, such as no bid for AJ (this year), Manny not coming (as in last year).

In one sense its good as it keeps our friendly neighbourhood North East stalkers from gazumping us but boy does it make for a bumpy ride.

I think we are now the only club not to have purchased a player so far.

Although on SSN they've updated our 'in tranfers' on the ticker thing on the right by adding Pienaar. We mustn't forget the braided one (y)

AS long as its not before we splash the cash I dont mind:lol:

That's what I'm worried about to be honest. I hate it when you've got no new players to watch on the first day of the season, it's very depressing.

New signing liven things up. Hopefully we can get them in, get them settled and get them in the first eleven against Blackburn.

i think that moyes is going to spring one on all of us and announce a player that no one has been talking about.

the names we are talking about if we go be the 'everton way' are smoke screens.

the thing i don't like is this story that came out today about moyes being furious with aj. it does look like aj is being made to look the bad guy.

Moyes flying of the handle sounds like the type of thing he'll do - 2 + 2 = 10.

Funny you mention that as I was watching Setanta's News the other night and they had that and then last night, Pienaar wasn't listed.

It's as if someone in the newsroom said, "Hey wait, Pienaar ?!?!, that doesn't count."

we'll sign players in the next couple of weeks defo, not worried as it looks like we've got some cash to spend which didn't look the case a couple of weeks ago. We will not however pay over the odds for players, never have with Moyes at the helm so i think there are a few irons in the fire but we are just getting the best possible terms we can get for the best possible players we can get

We'll get someone 'huge' - Moutinho / Lucho.

Then a couple of players from the likes of Bradley / M'Bia / Millito / Johnson / Joaquin

Then a couple of typical bargain Moyes signings that turn out to be genius.
