I don't think he realises that councils can buy property outside their own jurisdiction. Manchester Council own lots of property 'down south', as do many other local authorities.

I may be old fashioned but I firmly believe any new stadium has to be, must be within the City boundaries, not Kirkby, Knowsley or Crosby.

Got to be within the boundaries.

I have said before my choice would be as near to Sandhills station as possible but I would also back what the shareholders said and be as near to the city centre as they can get.
