My theory is that Kenwright doesn't want to sell and wants to stay on at the club, and I think he is a puppet master in using the cant be arsed attittudes of the other members like earle, woods and granchester to serve his own ends, by that I mean convince them all they will make a much bigger profit if they wait til EFC is in a shiny new stadium, that way Kenwright can keep hold of power for as long as possible whilst convincing the other board members to not sell prematurely until they get a new stadium. I don't personally think Kenwright is arsed about money or a puppet of Philip Green etc. I think he just doesn't wanna let go of the trainset.

I'm regularly pressing F5 on the LCC website to see if the planning application has been submitted.

From "we've got a site lined up and a partner that can't be named" to "it's Walton Hall Park, the partner is LCC, we need to provide £30m up front and LCC aren't even going to fund it".

Still, if all we need to provide is £30m for a new ground, that's a bargain isn't it?

Relatively speaking, anyway. How much did Arsenal have to pay?

I'll have a whip round.

But seriously, it's a huge bargain. I don't get every figure, but so far as I can tell and including the debt it put on the club, the Emirates seems to have cost Arsenal around £260M before interest.

That's what I mean. It's about 85% off the 'market price'.

The Emirates cost £390 million in total, originally funded by bank debt of £260 million. Arsenal then replaced the bank debt with two 25 year bonds.
