I'd also like somebody to break down where exactly the current regime are going wrong with the business side of things, and what financial gain we would see from changing the ownership if they were not mega rich.

And no, saying 'SELL MORE SHIRTS IN ASIA WITH CHANG' doesn't count.

I can give you my quick opinion, didn't bother me much when I lived in Ireland/England but now that I'm in the States I can see a huge market that is not being tapped in to. The Kitbag deal restricts our visibility. The inability to sign Donovan on a permanent deal smacks of small time. Simple things like the lack of merchandise at the games on the US tours. I get the impression that Kenwright is just a mouth piece and Earl is just sitting on his investment until it makes sense for him to sell, whats best for Everton doesn't factor into that.

Donovan chose to stay in the US and sign another contract mate, he could have come in 2011.

Your onto something Brennan. There's enough intelligent people on here to actualy come up with something good.

Doesn't really get anyone anywhere to play the blame game on other fans, question loyalty, and make sweeping statements about fans, just because they don't agree.

One thing we all have in common is we all want the club to be run better.

- Many unfounded allegations without proof.

This more than anything. I don't believe what the board or Elstone say without some kind of proof. Why then should I believe the BU's allegations when they provide no proof either?

I will agree that Everton have no chance of returning to its former glory until we're sold. The current regime won't put any money into the club and there's really no way to improve turnover without money. The only other option is to consistently make Champions League but that window of opportunity gets narrower every year as clubs like City move in front of us.

That being said, finding the "right" buyer is a difficult thing. There may have been serious offers that were declined by the board but I see no proof of that. Even if there were offers, we don't know what exactly happened. There could have been many reasons that a potential deal would fell apart. These things are never simple.

Personally I agree with every word of it. There's nothing wrong with putting a bit of pressure on them to arouse them from their inertia as long as it doesn't descend into personal abuse, because that would put many people off.

No-one is saying he should sell to the first potential buyer, but there has to be someone out there who could do a better job and who would be willing to buy at the right price. 12 years of no investment, failed ground moves, saddling the club with more debt, and now having to sell our best players just to survive. It can't go on.

Imagine an Everton without Kenwrong. It'd be a beautiful thing.

I'm not really pro or against Kenwright but I don't get throw away comments like this. Do you really believe that if Bill had enough of all the stick he takes constantly from fellow Evertonians and walked out teh door tomorrow we would be in a better place? I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be.

I would far rather have an Evertonian sitting in the directors seat than some blow in from the States, Far or Middle East who uses our club as a play thing for a few years gets bored and we end up like Leeds, Blackburn, Portsmouth....etc.

We would be far betting using our time to set up some sort of supporters trust or something to help the club finances instead of in fighting on message boards or going on protest marches against people who also love our club.

Its not about getting a super rich owner in. Thou that would be nice. Its about someone with idea's and who can give us some direction. The business model right now is laughable but we stick with it

I do see where you are coming from but we finished 7th this season, we got a few good signings in Jelavic and Gibbo. How can someone else come onboard and magic money from anyhere without having to sell players in the current climate?
I am a business owner and a few years ago banks would give me money without even hesitating, hardly any checks at all. Now I cant even get a loan against my frigging house. The banks have pretty much closed up shop. Everton are just the same, they can only borrow on stuff like the SKY money and other guarantee'd income. I dont see how anyone else can squeeze anymore money out of the banks better than the current board.
If its some kind of consortium you're hoping for then we wouldnt be any different than we are now. Even if someone came along with half a million in the bank, still no good for us.
The only way to make the club look more attractive is to finish higher, do well in Europe. Now without any sarcastic replies and blinkered view toward the BU, how much would we need to break into the top 4 and CL positions? To make enough money to sustain a top 4 club including the new players/squad, and their wages?

Id say we would need a billion pounds which would include the price of the club, new stadium, new squad etc etc.

Liverpool threw 120m into it last season and finished below us, forgot the rivalry for a minute, thats just crazy! Spurs can afford to turn down a 40m+ offer from Chelsea for Modric, how much do you have to have behind you to turn that down?
Chelsea are just about to spend their CL 100m on a few new players, Man Utd are going to be spending big too, City obviously and Arsenal have already started spending big. How the hell can we break into there without HUGE investment. I doubt even if Bill gave the club away for nothing and walked away there would be anyone financially viable to move the club forward from where are now.

Looks like the guy who owns Sale Sharks is going for Blackburn, bet he gets it for a cut price too. He cannot invest once hes bought it, so he will rely on the parachute payments and try to off load the big earners and start all over again. How the mighty have fallen.

You will probably come back and rubbish everything I have said, then someone will come and say how my opinion dosent count because I dont go home and away every single game. I dont care. I just think unless we can sell to another City/Chelsea owner type then we would be worse off than Bill and his boys club.

While we need investment without doubt, I think we should be careful what we wish for. Simply look at the monumental f*** up not a million miles away at ewood park. While I would love man city's cash, I'd rather be run as we are now than like Blackburn. But we do need investment undoubtedly.

...........
Where to start!

- The finances they quote are all over the place and inncarruate.

- Many of the issues they are annoyed about arent inhertintly applicable only to Everton, but ignore the impact on other clubs globally, rather then it being an individual problem, some not all are systemic in the game.

- Its just inconclusive rhetoric, - found on any forum, with no real plan or strategy.

- Many unfounded allegations without proof.

- Timing - do nothing while Everton are playing well, then reappear when fans are at their most inpaitent during the TW.

- I want change, but these arent the lids to do it for me, backing them is harming the club in my opinion.

- To be honest i feel a bit sorry for them and our fans we need a better fans representeive group than these lads - however much they believe they are doing the right thing.

- Join up if you feel like and march, i think its a hiding to nothing, more of the same after a period of re-evaluation/surrender and have big suspicions on who, what and the agenda of whats wagging the dog here. I fail to see whats new in their approach thats already failed.

They dont deserve the attention from me tbh.

t can do no harm to restate that message now, particularly given the way in which our cause seems to be continually misrepresented by certain individuals on various online fans forums

Owners allegedly pissing away millions on roulette wheels doesn't help a certain club in financial straits either. I expect the casino's loss could be that club's gain in the transfer.
