Well when you put the proviso in about "without winning a trophy" that narrows it down a little bit doesn't it mate! I mean, how many periods have we been the best part of a couple of decades without winning a trophy?! No mate, you have to compare like with like. Just focus on comparing the Kenwright era with what's gone before.
Here's just a little example: Under the Kenwright regime (12 full seasons) we've had an average 10th place finish. Before he took over and back to the last time we won the title (ie - the previous 12 seasons) and a period considered to be one of massive decline, we averaged 11th. You cant argue with that level of achievement I suppose. One whole league place jumped. Well in Bill.
Just because these people keep telling us how successful they've been at turning things around doesn't make it fact mate.
As for the lies the BU made: as said yesterday, you really have to sort out the wheat from the chaff here: who exactly is making these claims that turn out to be lies? The officers of the BU like Dave or Colin? Someone online who supports the BU and who claims imminent and nailed on administration doesn't really count. I think all the BU have done in that respect is to let Bill do the talking about how financially incontinent the club is and then poured over the club accounts and other documentation to point out how Bill is probably spot on about our parlous state.
