...Fast forward to the rash of negotiations with numerous 'investors' banging down our door - and that elusive £150mm valuation. To what extent do you think Bill has any say in the matter? In this scenario, Green holds all the cards. He can afford (literally) to hold out for what ever price he likes - he has no loyalty or affection for the club, it's just another financial transaction. Kenwright has to play along because he's beholden to Green and out of his depth in the financial stakes. For all we know Green could be funding Bill in other areas, such as his theatre enterprises. Kenwright is in fact the gimp, the stooge put up by Green to take the flak and do the 'PR'.

I'm not really picking sides but the con for someone like Green would be that the longer they keep asset-stripping the sooner the club will bankrupt/go into administration. You'd feel that if he was only after his payday he'd take a moderate profit to get out with something, and holding out wouldn't benefit him as anyone can see that without investment things are going to look grim(er).

It'd be interesting to see what amounts of money have been passed Green's way all this time since he allegedly helped fund Kenwright's part.

See your point mate, although Green has the benefit of being able to look at the club as a series of assets he 'owns'. If you do a quick reccy of Fellaini, Barkley and Rodders (each at say £20m?), Bainsey at say £12m, Jags and Howard at £10m, Pip and Hibbo at £35m each  - you get the point - there's £100m to burn through to keep the interest payments going...

Of course in selling these assets he reduces the value of the club, so it's not sustainable as a going concern, but the net worth of the club as stated tends not to apply this kind of market value to player assets, so theoretically he could liquidate everything and make the same killing that way!!

I'm sorry, but that's just sick.
now thats desperate, what next compare bill to mother Teressa or something because someone asked him a question, and i wish the likes of maddock would not throw johnson up as some demon and conveniently forget bill was on that board as well, at least while he was about he tried to do something about building the club, new parkend , new club shop, and won a trophy, and had two training grounds not rented one and sold everything not nailed down,
The press are in kenwright pocket nothing surprises me that they put out but this is just low

Thats what winds me up.

Johnson did far more in less time than Kenwrong will ever do, yet cos he was a kopite hes seen as the Devil and Blue Bill can do no wrong.

Sickening.

The main diffence is 1 is a successful business man, the other is a bad actor.

I can't understand any Evertonian who is still backing Kenwright.

In fact, I'll go as far as saying that if you are backing Kenwright, you're simply wrong. I don't even think it's a remotely valid stance to have anymore.

Backing Kenwright is betraying the club.

Not really given Johnson funded a rights issue to put money into the club, would have sealed the NTL deal, and would have wrenched LCC's arm out of their socket to get the Kings Dock.

I wouldn't go getting all misty-eyed about Johnson though. Who could ever forget that day in May 1998 when Luca Vialli kept us in the PL.....buying players and then selling them again, etc.
