Apologies for the lateness of this thread...

For all Evertonians, The Blue Union’s second public meeting on Saturday
afternoon at Zeligs bar in Liverpool One is a must see event.

The Blue
Union will present a progress report and explain their concerns over specific
areas of Everton’s finances, what the future holds for the club and the
developing campaign by The Blue Union for change.

There will then be a
special guest appearance by Everton’s most successful manager Howard Kendall who will talk
and answer questions about his great Everton teams who really did believe that
nothing but the best was good enough.

Entrance to the event is free of
charge and, as places are limited to 1,000 and demand is certain to be high, to
avoid disappointment The Blue Union are encouraging all Evertonians to get to
Zeligs in Liverpool One early.

Won't be going, but hope that the meeting will explain how the BU hope an autonomous board will come into being. Also, you've not given a time which might help those going.

HK going tells a story in it'self IMO , he must be as frustrated as us all, with the routinely quotes from our great chairman saying " if we where in the right place at the right time Sheik Monsour would have maybe bought Everton instead , the man is a **** simple as, it's going to be a painful season without any creativity in midfield and a centre forward who plays more than 5 games before he's out injured, but hey he wants what's best for his toy , I'll be going to the meeting , I've nothing but admiration for the group , having met a good few their lads who go week in week out , hail , rain or snow and just want to know what the plan is , if there is one ..............

That's a coup getting HK - the greatest living Evertonian - to back the Blue Union.

Well done.

It would be interesting if he explicitly backs the Union or keeps away from the politics. He does have a column in the echo / Post to expound on his own views. And I'm waiting for an explanation of how they hope to bring around an "autonomous Board" given that Turkeys don't vote for Christmas that often.

I reckon he'll keep clear of comment on club governance issues. But his presence there will be an embarrassment for the owners.

I can't wait to see our greatest ever manager vilified as a mouthpiece and puppet when he doesn't back the Blue Union's manifesto.

One big happy family.
