satisfactory spend so far(taking into account last years sales) needs to be more spending for it to be considered a 'good' or 'excellent' spend by the board

I don't get the obsession with net spend. The aim should be to improve the first eleven and the squad each season if that results in a positive or negative spend then so be it. Sell well and buy better is the way we need to operate and in his first 12 months that's what Bobby has done, that plus inheriting some astute notes signings means we are now in a poisition where outside of Chelsea and city our squad is comparable topretty MMich everyone else's

Whilst today has been a great day and signing Lukaku has been truly superb. Lets not let this blind us to the fact that we've been pissed on for over 20 years by our board.
