Any one who took part, knew about, used Epstein to leverage other groups, opponents, politicians, people of influence- they can all meet a grisly end.
This is where it gets very difficult. Remember when fred goodwin was the flavour of the month re being disliked (him that was top bellend at rbs) he finally had his knighthood cancelled (in 2012). So what, mountbatts isn't a duke anymore. The penalties the hyper wealthy suffer is often unnoticeable, and they're all pals, mandelson-epstein-maxwell-ferguson-mountbatts-clinton-blair-gates-musk-trump. Imagine how putin laughs in his palace as the west reviles him for ordering murders and whatever else.
So look at "anyone who took part, knew about..." epsteins pilots, air crew, PA, island groundskeepers, cleaners, chefs, security, and drinking buddies. But it's worse than this, clinton and mountbatts are afforded state security. mountbatts was using royal privilege to acquire favourable takeoff and landing windows at convenient airstrips (RAF) and airports (Private & commercial). mountbatts has to tell the royal security team (a branch of the coppers) where he's going and who with. He was asking them to dig up dirt on Giuffre.
There is no plausible deniability here. maxwell has kept quiet and has been allowed to. mandelson is still walking around a free man, he'll never spill the beans, he'll apologise repeatedly and sneak off abroad for "a quiet life".
boris, sunak, truss, may and co all dumped their whatsapp burner phones to get off from having to expose what was going on behind the scenes. They got away with it, or have for now. hilary got in trouble over one of her email accounts being used in contravention of official secrets or unofficial use policy or something. mandelson was using his state account in direct contact with prime ministers and the treasury, the chancellor, BoE, for the hotline to the bigwigs at the banks in the city, and tipping off a foreign agent.
Who else was he being paid for giving away state secrets to? Have any banks or businesses gone down the pan because of his official overreach? His every email in a professional capacity needs scrutiny.

They've called the post office scandal the biggest miscarriage of justice in british history. I don't know how they'll class this. I wonder if blair has a twitchy arse around about now. (Dr David Kelly, that illegal war, foreign bank accounts, info casually passed on for a few dollars...)

Tories are going to have a field day with all of this. It's a banquet.

Politics latest: Starmer could face crunch Commons vote tomorrow - as 'well hung young man' email emerges | Mandelson latest

Lord mandelson has been involved in a series of scandals, dating back to his time as a cabinet minister in the New Labour governments.

Known as the prince of darkness, he was famed for his mastery of the art of spin.

Lord Mandelson, at the time Labour MP for Hartlepool, was first forced to resign his cabinet job of trade and industry secretary in 1998 after failing to disclose a loan for a home from Labour millionaire Geoffrey Robinson to his building society.

(Sounds like the loan boris got from the guy he then made head of the bbc)

He returned to cabinet the following year as Northern Ireland secretary - but was forced to resign again in 2001 over claims he helped businessman Srichand Hinduja with an application for a UK passport.

He was cleared of any wrongdoing two months later - but it was too late to save his cabinet job.

He quit the Commons - and the UK - in 2004 to work for the EU - where he was accused of inappropriate links to various businessmen, including claims he accepted hospitality on a Russian oligarch's £80m yacht.

At the time, Mandelson denied giving or receiving any favours in return.

When his term as EU commissioner ended, he returned to the UK - and was put into the Lords by Gordon Brown, to become business secretary and de-facto deputy prime minister.

It's this period where Lord Mandelson is alleged to have leaked sensitive information to Jeffrey Epstein.

After Labour left government, he left frontline politics - until he started offering Sir Keir Starmer advice in the run up to the 2024 General Election.

After winning the election, Starmer appointed Mandelson as the UK's ambassador to the US in late 2024.

Made a lordship (peer) in 2008. So has been active around westminster since.

'politics live' labour mp just two footed him, 'colluding with foreign financiers'. The chambers are loaded here.

How did starmer make him u.s. ambassador? and now it turns out Gordon Brown was raising repeated concerns around mandeslon's behaviours around the financial crisis. The timing about the payments being in the public domain since September. What has he had on others to keep this down till now? Suddenly keeping Burnham as Manchester Mayor is looking a handy bit of recent business.

Trumps singing like a canary now about these files. After they've butchered them through redaction. Can only hope someone with a conscience has kept a copy of the originals.
The email trail will have copies at the ends of those in contact, so the historic copies re mandelson will be sat on a server somewhere in the uk or similar. There will be an active effort to expose as much as possible by the type of group that uncovered and published the Panama papers.

ferguson has had her charity folded.

I want to hear first from Gordon Brown, he's had concern when mandelson was de-facto deputy prime minister, how were these concerns dealt with or not* and who was active or not* in pursuing mandelson.

mandelson has been a peer for 18 years. That's a long time to be involved in the day to day machinations of westminster. He'd had roles in labour and the eu for some 12 years previous.

Some reform slime got 10 and a half years in prison a month or so ago for being on the payroll of putin.

lets see justice downtrodden here as usual. I'd laugh if badenoch does PMQ's tomorrow dressed as James Bond in a suit and bow tie.

Given that Bidens DOJ had these files previously, I think that it's reasonable to conclude that Donald Trump does not feature that greatly in the scheme of things, if at all. If he did then it would have been used against him in the 2024 election campaign.

Also preparing to strip him of his peerage
While I agree that Mandelson should be stripped of his peerage, I think royalty and all the subsidiary trappings should be abolished, but I really don’t see how Starmer can single out Mandelson when there are so many other crooks sitting in the Lords.

I thought that was due to maxwells appeal which ended in july 25.
I dont know that much about it tbh but im not buying the redactions are to protect victims. Since when has that ever been the case. To many wealthy people involved in this.

I may be wrong but I have a massive mistrust of all politicians worldwide. Given the attempts the Democrats went to. trying to bar Trump from standing in 2024, I personally have no doubt that if Trump was in the files (and that it showed him in a detrimental light), they would have found a way of leaking it.
