forwarding government and treasury emails within 4 seconds of receiving them re british government and financial sector decisions and policies to a billionaire financial deal maker with ties to politicians and business across the u.s. does seem a bit fishy.
that he is also discussing pressuring decision makers with threats does seem a bit underhand.
this is policy maker and prime minister key advisor, and epstein was up to his neck in sexual depravity. not often casual bedfellows they make... or...

so an investigation needs launching into what and who else was copied in to mandelsons rolodex of financial persons of interest and when. for instance, who talked brown into selling all that gold at a record loss? how much pressure was there to have the public underwrite the u.s. sub prime market and then bail associated failing commodity traders (banks) out on a promise? he's been at the heart of government for to long and seems to have leaked live information like a sieve. It wouldn't be hyperbole to accuse the governments he was part of as compromised.
how much money, how much harm, how much wrong doing. the scale of it suggests a pattern of behaviour over near decades. this isn't a one off accidental thing.
a few understatements in there Reets, and I agree entirely, this one person has probably cost our country billions of pounds. Each and every one of us is significantly poorer because of him.

The breadth of the possibilities of this are breathtaking. The scale of harm he could be implicated in could be incalculable. If he was a banker he'd be in cuffs on charges of insider trading. He hasn't seemed overly concerned with cash coming into his husbands accounts. I'll lay you odds he's got an account somewhere similar to the ones cameron swore he didn't have that were uncovered in the Panama papers. Could this go as far back as the hand over of Hong Kong? The finance behind the good Friday deal? Who knew what about the arms deal with saudi that saw mountbatts fingers burned?

neil hamilton got hamstrung good and proper for a couple of questions in parliament. (rightly so).
mandelson could have been broadcasting everything from number 10 for near two decades, and we've currently no idea if that information was being picked up by russia, china, the u.s. or any other malign overseas agencies.

This sort of thing used to be called treason.

Who else was on epstein's payroll and why?

I doubt we will see anything like a thorough investigation as it will reveal a whole system rotten to the core

lets see who has a heart attack and dies in their sleep.
the profumo affair sank a government. the profumo affair doesn't even register compared to this.

who's on this brokerhouse of peace alongside trump and blair and putin?

my spider-sense is tingling, there's something huge coming here. no way the prince of darkness doesn't have dirt on others to save his own ass.

Add to that Mandelson's disdain for the percieved 'establishment' and its rules.
I'd jump the gun and say he was also working for a non Islamic middle eastern government and supplying them with methods and means of influence and coercion.

More than three million pages, including more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images in total, some 30 odd days late.

Are you eagerly awaiting the details or bored to death of a story that most likely will only cause a short term minor embarrassment to the rich and famous?

Reminder - just being named in these documents isn't a sign of any wrongdoing
Trump would've had somebody check and redact any alleged incriminating stuff before releasing them.
The Brits named so far seem to be...as many thought...total wronguns.

The top 1%, the great and good only mix with the top 1% so everybody is going to meet everyone sometimes
But jeez 3,000,000 bits of paper, where did he find the time...or the energy

A lot of it seems to be the documentation from the investigations too, it’s not just all his emails etc.

There is a whiff of just leaving enough un-redacted to throw few disposable high profile names to the wolves, while keeping who needs to be well protected.

"Following the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, the death penalty for high treason was formally abolished and replaced with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment."

badenoch should go straight at starmer with treason re mandelson. Not least because he was part of government that reclassified it.

PMQ's tomorrow will be good. He'll hide behind 'ongoing police investigation, not right and proper to comment whilst it's active etc...'.
