Welcome to Barcelonaton FC
The clowns can't even build an office building next to the ground, never mind build a "football quarter"
we're not on a road to nowhere tho, are we? we're on a road with a bridge that is out. sooner or later we're going to run out of road. they can only **** up so many times before one of them are completely catastrophic..
I've always thought it weird that some blues know we need a change of ownership but were/are against the blue union.
For me all the talk of the BU's ethics (recording and releasing the 'off the record' interview with Bill etc) is all much of a muchness. You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs & anyway, some of the boards fcuk ups deserved to be exposed.
This football quarter thing is disappointing, at one point there was talk of us being sold on the back of this. Now it just looks like the sh!te will have a glamorous redevelopment which stops at some point in Stanley Park. There'll be a line in the grass, one side luscious green and blooming flowers, our side dead grass, used johnnys and p!ss-filled special brew empties. Drop the price Bill FFS

CORRECTION - we need Kenwright, Woods, Earl and Elstone to go.

Okay can we knock the road analogies on the head, I'm sorry I started now.
I think we all know the situation we're in. I'm just not sure that suggesting that blues who want to go the game, buy merchandise, etc. are somehow letting the club down by not starving the club of finances is fair. You don't like Asda, you jib them and go to Tesco. Football doesn't work like this, and if people start boycotting merchandise to send a message to the board, I can't see how it would get rid of Kenwright without damaging the club
It's very frustrating, not simply because Everton have missed the boat again, but because we as a club could bring millions of private investment into the areas surrounding Goodison. Shame.
Short term it would not be good for the club, but long term we will better with this current lot gone.
You say dont answer "Anyone is better than the current lot" but a prospective new owner really doesnt have much to follow. And replaced by whom? And please don't just say "some rich arab" or "anyone would be better than the current lot".
I am not a huge fan of the current board by any stretch of the imagination, but whenever talk turns to getting rid of them, I always come back to this basic question - who are you proposing instead?
If you want people to make a choice between 2 owners, tell them what the 2 choices are. So who is it that is going to come in and do better?

2 failed stadium moves, failed office project, not having a presence within a thriving city centre for years, NTL deal, constant cock-ups with player contracts, secrecy as to why CEOs have left and lies that just never end. This list could go on and on the fact is this board will take us down eventually they hace been bought time by a TV deal that they will still claim makes no difference to our ever rising debt.
When clubs like Southampton and Norwich are showing more ambition to improve themselves than 9 time Champions Everton FC you know things are bleak.
I don't disagree with you, but Leeds and Portsmouth also showed more ambition to improve. Venkys probably didn't buy Blackburn with the intention of taking them down. Cardiff fans don't seem to happy with playing in red. So how can I agree that someone else has to come in if I don't know who that someone else is?
