Yes, I was saddened as well. I hear they are thinking of putting some monument up for him...somewhere in Trafalgar Square has been mooted as a possible spot because it has some relevance to him. perhaps he was born in Trafalgar Avenue?...not sure...but that's the plan

Didn't hear anything from him during the Falklands War did we? You can't just live off one old battle. I say screw him and put up one of Simon Weston instead...

...or Les Dennis maybe....they have found images of him on Mars (I am presuming from battles he represented Great Britain in, vs the Martians) ...plus he screwed Amanda Holden...

...sad news, Ian St John has passed away aged 82.

Proper old school striker, I watched him many times in the ‘60s Derby matches when the game was different. I think there’s a clip of him chinning Alan Ball & Gordon West running 35 yards to push him over. Scored the winner in the ‘65 FA Cup Final for the first success of the Shankly era.

I think he scored a hat-trick at Goodison on his debut (we won 4-3).

Tough lad and good player on the pitch, always seemed a decent bloke off it.

Dropping like flies at the moment.

Big Phil looks like he’s trying his best to keep the pearly gates at bay but it’s only a matter of time.
