Perhaps not as well known over there but a genuine Peace Maker who helped create a better society for us all in Ireland.....former SDLP leader and Nobel Prize winner, John Hume has died aged 83.
He was head and shoulders above the tat that passes for politicians nowadays. He set up the credit union movement back in the sixties and was to the forefront of the civil rights marches in the late sixties. He was definitely a modern day hero.Perhaps not as well known over there but a genuine Peace Maker who helped create a better society for us all in Ireland.
