Manager of the last british champion side to win the European Champions Cup wasn't he?

(Before it became a runners up competition - I think Man U won it as Champions since ... did Chelsea? I know the rs only won it as runners up).

Think the RS won it in 84 with wobbly legs to be fair - so suppose they were the last English team to win it without relying on the toss of a coin that is penalties.

Ron Saunders (ex villa manager) dies aged 87.

Started his career with us, but only ever managed to play three times for the first team.

Ron Saunders was an old school manager before the term was invented. Never used one word when none would do. Got Villa most of the way to the European Cup final but think Tony Barton(?) also now deceased(?) was manager for the final.

Tribute after Hercules the bear's owner Andy Robin dies

Andy Robin, who along with his wife Maggie, adopted the popular grizzly bear in 1975, has died aged 84.

Don't know if Hercules was so well known in England but his owner Andy Robin died in the last couple of days, both he and the bear were never off the TV up here in the eighties, they were quite a double act.

Star Trek has given so much pleasure to me since I were a kid. It's sad they're passing away.
