Sad to hear of Bob Willis' passing. Always reminded me of a steam train on those run ups, hitting top speed just as he reached the crease to unleash another monster.
Was at Headingley that day he tore the Aussies a massive new one. My love for cricket was cemented watching him. Majestic.

Sad day for cricket and a sad day for sport.

RIP Bob. You gave me memories I'll take to my final day.
 


Manager of the last british champion side to win the European Champions Cup wasn't he?

(Before it became a runners up competition - I think Man U won it as Champions since ... did Chelsea? I know the rs only won it as runners up).

I think he resigned before they reached the final mate. The league cup against Villa when Saunders was there brings back painful memories.
