The Carol Burnett Show wasn't aired over here in its heyday, possibly because we had so many good comedy shows of our own at the time. I've seen several of them and for sheer intelligence and irony you'd be hard pressed to top them. Burnett was a brilliant parodyist and with Conway and the genius of Harvey Kormann (Hedley Lamarr!) it was a show for the more discerning viewer.
Top bloke, the last decent leader of this country.
