81. Alzheimer's.

Very sad, talented guy, multi instrumentalist. I enjoyed listening to his catchy tunes as I grew up.

There was a documentary on a couple of year's ago following him on his final tour, his family said they wanted it shown to show the world how Alzheimer's affects people, the cynic in me thinks they were just squeezing a last pay day out of him, either way it was very sad and unnecessary and I would rather remember him in full health on TV in the seventies belting out the hits.

I watched that, it was really sad to see, and the cynic in me thought exactly the same although it did make me more aware of the illness that I was pretty ignorant about previously which I think was the message the family wanted to get across

The Wichita Lineman. And he played in the Beach Boys too.
 
My dad always had Glenn Campbell tunes playing round the house when I was growing up as a kid. He was a majorly talented musician and had a voice that was supreme.
