Was excited to listen to Hybrid Theory and it has aged, for me, as well as I hoped.

Still, nothing will beat getting into getting into the local metal/emo club at 16 and downing martini on the riverbank listening to them.

Even as a limp bizkit fan I have to admit hybrid theory was a good nu metal album. Didn't like the rest.

I was not a fan although a couple of my mates were. They were meh to me with a few decent tunes.

I was rocked to my core with Cornell's suicide. The fact that Bennington and Cornell were friends and he did it on Cornell's birthday has rocked me even further.

Just so sad. Soul wrenching seeing it.

I always want to celebrate their life when giants of my world are gone...too many to mention but I will give Kurt Cobain, Elliott Smith, Layne Stayley, and Chris Cornell special shout outs...the feeling of WHY is so strong in the moment. Tearing up here ffs.

So much beauty wrapped in so much sadness.
